Terra Cotta Restoration and Repointing, Mortar Repointing
Project description:
This historical building has received a variety of natural changes over its life. Several loggia terra cotta units were missing and were too heavily damaged. All residue from previous repairs, including sealant, patching and parging, were removed. Cracks that were too wide for permanent repair, but with terra cotta repair mortar it was temporarily repaired with a stainless steel backer rod and an elastomeric sealant.
