Project description:
The story of being awarded this project is exciting and at the same time tragic. We were working on the other project not far from 1115 Chestnut Ave, and suddenly we heard a crash – a tree fell on a house. The main entrance was destroyed after a large portion of a tree fell on it. Our crew ran to check to make sure no one got hurt, and there we met the owner who asked us for help.
The project included a few steps: removal of any remains of the tree, mortar analysis (provided by our sister company, US Heritage Group). After determining the correct mortar, we cleaned existing bricks, rebuilt the walls of the front porch, replaced limestone and rebuilt two brick columns. Brick and limestone elements had been installed using custom matched mortar.
