Sandstone Replacement and Restoration
Project description:
The door trim from the main entry was made using sandstone covered by two layers of oil paint, dark purple and white. One of the columns was broken into two piece, and the condition of the sandstone was very bad. Stone was devoid of binder. We have documented the existing condition of the stone and have develop drawings of missing details and profiles. The existing stone units have been tested for strength and durability. Custom-matched stone restoration mortar for creating the stone has been developed by our sister company, US Heritage Group.
